  • Lead Pastor

Hey friends, I am Jay Parker. I have been so blessed to be the pastor of The Fellowship since July 2025. Our family is honored to be here and we love calling Albertville our home.

I have the honor of being married to my best friend and ministry partner, Misty, who is an amazing pastor's wife and mother to our two children.

I gave my life to Christ as a young adult during a revival in my home church. There is nothing better than being loved by Jesus.

I was in worship ministry for many years, also serving in roles of student ministry, discipleship, and being an associate pastor before coming into the pastor role. I still can't get over that God has called me to do this.

I want to see people come to know Christ as Savior, and grow as mature followers of Christ. My prayer is that I can be an intentional pastor, shepherd, and friend.

I hope you will come and join us on the journey if you are looking for a church family. I would love to meet you.

  • Student Pastor

Japeth is originally from Fyffe, AL. His dad, Paul Long, has been a pastor his entire life, so Japeth has been involved in ministry from a young age. He graduated from Fyffe High School in 2019. After school, Japeth began working in construction while also serving as a Sunday School teacher at Antioch Baptist Church. In 2021, Japeth married his high school sweetheart, Lily, and they moved to Jacksonville, AL where she was in nursing school. Soon thereafter the Lord placed Japeth at Hatcher Avenue Baptist Church to serve as the youth pastor. Lily graduated from Jacksonville State University with her nursing degree in 2023 and began working at UAB Hospital. Soon the Lord revealed it was time for Japeth and Lily to move back to their home town and to be closer to their families. It was not long after this decision was made Japeth received a call from Brother Allen Atkins about a youth pastor position at The Fellowship. Japeth owns Long Construction & Remodeling and is currently working on his Bachelor of Arts in Church Ministry through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Japeth and Lily are very excited to serve at The Fellowship and can’t wait to see what the Lord will do!

  • Associate Pastor: Minister to Young Families/Discipleship

Patrick and his wife, Heather, joined The Fellowship in September of 2021 to serve
as Associate Pastor with a focus on young families. Patrick and Heather live in Sardis, Alabama. Patrick and Heather are both preacher’s kids and their parents have pastored in Sardis for over 50 years combined.

Patrick gave his heart to Christ as a ten-year-old boy. He has served in churches since he was in college as a Sunday school teacher, music leader, Pastor of Discipleship, and Church Administrator. Patrick has a passion to see people grow in their relationship with the Lord and use their gifts and talents to expand the Kingdom of God. He also loves going on mission trips. He has been to the Dominican Republic several times and to Mexico. Patrick graduated from Sardis High School in 1992. He also attended UAB where he played football for the Blazers. He earned his B.S. degree from Jacksonville State University in physical education. After graduating JSU, Patrick taught and coached football at Glencoe High School for seven years. He then left education and started a career in pharmaceutical sales in 2005. He currently works for NovoNordisk Pharmaceuticals.

Patrick and Heather want to partner with the young families of The Fellowship and reach their families and our community with the gospel of Christ.

  • Children’s Director

Hi, my name is Allison Bowling. I have been a member of The Fellowship since 2007. I felt that God was calling me to work with children in 2023. I was given the opportunity to oversee our 3:16 Kids ministry that summer. In 2025, I had the privilege of becoming the children’s director at The Fellowship. My desire is to help lead children to Christ and build a generation of disciples by pouring into them and loving them the way He loves us!
