The Fellowship

The Fellowship

We are glad that you have chosen to find out more about our church family. This is a basic introduction to our ministries, values, and purpose. We hope you find your place and people to belong to here at The Fellowship. Feel free to ask one of our staff or care leaders any questions you may have.

At The Fellowship, we believe God has given us a vision that we should be a catalyst for spiritual awakening in Albertville and beyond—but, the only way we will ever realize that vision is if our people become all God wants them to be.

Welcome to our church

We have joined together in a common bond to WORSHIP our Lord Jesus Christ, to REACH the unsaved, to MINISTER to the hurting, to GROW in the knowledge of God's Word, and to FELLOWSHIP together.

We grow stronger through worship, Larger through evangelism, Broader through ministry, Deeper through discipleship, and Warmer through fellowship.

A christ-centered church will experience these all at the same time. The church grows through a great commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission.

Every church is driven and motivated by something. Tradition, finances, programs, personalities, events, and even buildings may be the dominating force of a church. For a church to be what God intends it to be, it must be a purpose-driven church built around the five New Testament purposes that Jesus Christ gave us.

The five purposes of: Worship, Evangelism, Ministry, Discipleship and Fellowship are found in the Great Commandment (Mark 12:29-31) and the Great Commission (Matt. 28: 19, 20).

Mission Statement

Church Philosophy

First priority is worship

"To worship is to quicken the conscience by the holiness of God, to feed the mind with the truth of God, to purge the imagination by the beauty of God, to open up the heart to the love of God, to devote the will to the purpose of God." (Dr. William Temple)

Evangelize the unsaved

"As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the World." (John 17:18)

Love my brothers and sisters in Christ

"By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" (John 13:35)

Lay ministry that impacts our community

"...to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may built up" (Ephesians 4:12)

Optimistic attitudes in all things

"Your attitude should be the same as that of the Lord Jesus" (Phil. 2:5) "Whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things" (Philippians 4:8)

Work to honor God in excellence

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name 0f the Lord Jesus..." (Colossians 3:17)

Structure that is biblical and simple

"Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood." (Acts 20:28)

Honor each member of the fellowship family

"Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves." (Romans 12:10) Innovative methods of outreach and advertising "Lift up a banner for the people" (Isaiah 62:10)

Preaching God's Word to inform, inspire, and apply to life

"Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage-with great patience and careful instruction." (II Timothy 4:2)
